Saw The Odyssey (2026, dir. Christopher Nolan) recently. What a film - definitely the best I’ve seen this year. What I didn’t notice? Black actors and trans actors destroying the film’s authenticity. I kinda think if you DID notice that, it says more about you than it says about the movie.
The other thing The Apprentice does well? Shows what a vacuous, back-stabbing, phony, cheap, cock-sucking, lying motherfucking selfish asshole Donald J. Trump became. The way he treats the people who try to love him tells you everything. He’s the biggest piece of human shit to ever walk the Earth.

This one is a winner. A quiet man with no connections learns about loss, and finally about what connection really means. A beautiful film spare on dialogue that might say more than any I've seen this year. There were bigger movies in 2025, but none better. Joel Edgerton is fantastic.
Now Playing Train Dreams (2025, dir. Clint Bentley) There's a fair amount of noise around this one for Best Picture 2025. Opening scenes have some relation to the current situation with immigration and casual racist violence in the US. Joel Edgerton stars - definitely an underrated actor.
