Drawing these pictures allowed me to try out a lot of firsts: first time coloring POC & first time drawing a child. I learned that I need to go to my local art store & buy at least fifty different shades of brown so I can properly capture the different shades of black & brown characters in my world

I offered a free punch and ze said ze didn’t indulge in violence and I burst out laughing considering everything. I promised I’d make it up to ze the only way I really can and that’s how I woke up with zir in my bed and someone pounding on my door. Since my roommates had been considerate enough to give us the room for the night, I figured it was one of them needing to change before work. I shushed them as I opened the door and Asia popped in, ranting about how I slept too much. She woke up Ernest, who pulled the sheets around his body, his ears dropping in embarrassment as Asia let out a disappointed, “Oh.”

“Right,” I teased, just as a still very embarrassed Ernest stepped out of the room. Ze gave an awkward goodbye and scurried away before Asia or I could wrangle another date out of zir.
