Retirement looming. Dem, pro worker, MMT convert, Packer fan.
That long snout reminded me of a human hand's ability to maneuver objects. So it wasn't our opposing thumbs that conquered nature but canine sloth. Hmm.
Green Bay. Crowd starting to form early. No Kings 2.0 had a feeling of uncertainty and anticipation. This No Kings 3.0 feels more like a damn job to do. Enjoy your events, everyone!
The daughter of a great friend of mine is out with her first novel. Chapter 1 is a banger! www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/786110...
Best Mexican rice I've made to date. Fluffy, firm grains. I added a teaspoon of chile de arbol powder for a tiny kick.
I snowblow my 93 year old neighbor's driveway. With Green Bay expecting 18" to 24" of snow the next 48 hours, Richard just delivered a chocolate chip cookie down payment his wife Ethel just baked. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
Absolutely love my Ford Maverick Hybrid. I get about 200 electric miles per tank of gas for my normal around town driving.
This is what climate change looks like in Green Bay on Dec 28th. More rain this afternoon will clear the snow. Winter sports are dead. As a kid, snow by mid November covered the ground until mid March. Now I see my grass half the winter.
One final No Kings photo. A drone flew above our Green Bay march and I've been waiting to see this photo. So many folks made signs!
Excellent turnout and a great march to downtown courthouse in Green Bay. Rake leaves in the morning, fight tyranny in the afternoon.
Great Green Bay turnout. Marched on a perfect day from a park to the downtown courthouse. More pictures later.
Drama at the feeder. This bull pigeon quite interested in this sleek mare. A few pecks of seed, a short flight for drinks at the bird bath; the evening is young!
To make authentic fish camp potatoes on a Friday evening, refrain from shaving no later than Tuesday and limit yourself to a single hot shower. Salt and pepper to taste.
Grocery shopping last night. Lots of empty shelve space throughout the store and a sign at the entrance apologizing for supply chain issues. Tariff related? Aren't the new US banana factories up and running yet? I'll have to investigate.
$23.99 a pound for a nondescript supermarket ribeye. Sheesh. Cannibalism lurks on the horizon.
My artistic brother painted my bland steel kitchen to garage windowless door and gave me a view.
My doorbell rang. I couldn't see anyone but found this Easter bag on my stoop. My neighbors' young daughter enjoys artistic projects. A nice touch to my day.
