SO TONIGHT ((2)6th of june at 6pm–666) i got to host the unholy masquerade (mystery film at work) & it was SO MUCH FUN!!! :3 everyone laughed along, clapped at the end & it was a magical magical experience to get to share my joy for this movie w a bunch of strangers & my best friends🌟🌟🦇 so happyyy

and before he goes off to become an innkeeper, he realises he's loved, and of course he is! stede, proof of that, follows him into a dilapidated shack to turn it into a home. but here's another fun thing: it's just the two of them! yay! which means ed will start to wonder if stede is in fact proof that he's not unloveable or merely the one exception to the rule.

is stede just the only person who can ever and will ever be able to stand him? will all the people that come to the inn like stede and hate ed? will stede eventually decide he doesn't care much for ed either...? no! no, of course not, he knows stede loves him, sure as the sea meets the shore.

and the crew, they loved him too, didn't they? stede will remind him of this, and ed will remind himself that even izzy said so.

but the really fun part of putting all these things together is that: the more entangled with stede he becomes, the more he will begin to think that it probably wasn't edward the crew loved, it was all the parts of stede that they saw in ed, because they loved stede. not ed. ed's unloveable, remember? and then, settled down with stede, the love of his life, ed will feel an incurable loneliness, because that's all his life is: stede, and the inn he lives in with stede, and the bed he sleeps im with stede, the two rocking chairs on the porch, their shared wardrobe, the books he reads recommended by stede or to recommend to stede, the paint swatches he and stede fight over and eventually agree upon, the job he works with stede. and he won't leave, not this time, because he loves stede and stede makes him happy. and he knows there is nothing else out there that could replace this. and he will be sure that there is something deeply broken qnd unfixable within him.
