Frankford High educators and staff are to be commended for bringing their concerns to the administration, and for persevering in the face of threats and bullying throughout the ordeal. Thanks to their bravery and persistence, Frankford will be a healthier, more positive place to learn and work for all.

It is our hope that whoever is assigned to replace Dr. Calderone is able to reset the working environment for staff, so that Frankford is once again the warm, welcoming school community it was before he arrived.

While it wasn't the solution we wanted, Council ultimately approved the additional funding needed to reverse 340 school staff cuts for the '26-'27 academic year. The District must reverse the cuts immediately so that educators looking for jobs elsewhere stay here in Philly, where they are needed.
