Sorry about the poor picture quality, conditions were difficult: a long shot, fully backlit, the bird itself heavily shaded by branches. 🪶
We see its parents regularly and so we guessed that they had a nest nearby, but we've never spotted it. 🪶
We heard some crows being very upset and when we looked to see why, it was this juvenile bald eagle. 🪶
Here are some fawns from earlier in the year that I have finally got around to looking at.
Saw this absolutely humungous heron at Harling Point today, but didn't have my camera. A truly great great blue heron. 🪶
I've never seen one, just these yellow-bellied guys. Who are kind of cute little chonks, really.
Especially bizzare when you consider the contemporary German attitude.
