My small garden pond has been a very popular place for the local bird and insect life. Two woodpigeons taking a bath at the same time.

Woodpigeon says always have a gently sliping shallow zone in your pond for us birds.

A local crow has just been for a drink and a shower. I had wondered why the pond grass was flattened. This crow prefers a shower to a bath.

Just had a golfinch and a dunnock visit the garden pond for a drink. Phone camera shot. Dunnock on the pebbles.

This woodpigeon is taking an extended bath in my pond. This is a popular spot today.

My 2 by 1 metre pond has become more of a very wet bog with shagnum moss, cotton grass, marsh marigold, flag iris, and water mint, as well as afew orher plants. A nice bathing spot for birds when it is full.

So midnight last night Belle sat at the bottom of the stairs, looking up the stairs. So I went upstairs to see what the problem was. She foolowed me up and jumped onto the corner of the bed where she likes to sleep and curled up. She just wanted to go to bed. This picture is her this morning.

Rhubarb coming along nicely

Flowers are a lovely gift to somebody else or to yourself. When I see the wastefull way the super rich live, nobody should feel guilty buying a bunch of flowers. Best wishes.

I came across this hairy orange caterpillar with black and white markings eating one of my rhubarb leaves. I've never seen one before so I will let it live. I suppose eating rhubarb leaves makes it taste bad for the birds. 🙂 🌱
