Laminate floor in the utility room is no more. The water went through the insulation down to the damp proof and radon membranes. Whole sub floor needs taking up. Surveyors drilled test holes in the hall, toilet and cupboard. All those areas will need sorting.
Quite pleased with last night's race result. Just 1 minute and 1 second off last year's time. Although I was down 5 places. Considering it felt much hotter this year, as well as the fact I've done significantly less speed work over the last couple of months.
So, the carpet surveyor has been, and we've had a settlement offer to cover that. The flood restoration team are coming tomorrow to lift all the laminate flooring in the utility room, hall and downstairs toilet.

The pipe was fixed pretty quickly. Fun fact: the emergency call out insurance covers the plumber’s time, but it wouldn’t have covered the cost of the replacement nut / olive if we needed a new one.
No idea how long it had been going, but the office and utility room were pretty flooded. It took a while to turn the stopcock off.
Finishing the Affinity firebreak week with a sauna and swim session, followed by lunch at Mylor. It's been an awesome week in-person with the team. It's so nice to be working for a company where the senior leadership value and support the team.
Day 2 of firebreak week. It was great to work together with the team yesterday. And the lunchtime yoga session was really good.
