Boru is physically protective, while Leanna is emotionally protective
Boru gets easily flustered and weak with Leannna's innocent physical touches and observant comments.
They playfully bicker often, usually oru having fun with Leanna's misunderstanding for mortal slang.
They normally do not argue, but there are many annoyances and frustrations shared.
Boru is extremely protective of her even when not romantically involved, because of his desperate need to achieve something.
Boru falls in love first, despite telling himself he wasnt allowed to.

(Right) Boru, dressed nicer, more cleaned up with a braid and beard clasp, scars covered, is looking into the mirror to see his past self, (Left) battered, homeless, abused, ragged, tired.

There are many different ways this can be taken, and I'm not really sure how to choose one.

Boru could be having a hard time accepting his new life and still sees his former self that he had grown to hate but it felt deserved.

It could also be a form of ptsd.

Maybe he feels he doesn't deserve to see himself in a better light.
