A single large mushroom with a wide, rounded cap sitting low in the grass. The cap surface is tan to yellow‑brown, and the most striking feature is the intricate cracked pattern across the entire top - thin, irregular fissures forming a mosaic that radiates outward from the center. Some of the cracks expose lighter yellowish flesh underneath. The cap looks moist or glossy, suggesting recent rain or dew. It’s growing directly out of lawn grass, with no visible stem or underside in the frame.

Five long-stemmed mushrooms extending from the forest floor with a old decaying branch surrounding the base of the mushrooms (most likely the mushrooms are actually growing on the branch but the base is hidden by the darkness). The branch is in the lower third of the photo and the mushrooms extend up from the lower third to the upper third (spanning roughly half of the height of the portrait layout photo). The mushrooms have parachute-like caps and are a light cream color with brown at the center and only the tops of the caps after visible. The view of the mushrooms is horizontal- from the forest floor. The forest floor visible behind the mushrooms is blurred due to the use of shallow depth of field.
