Very fascinating. My home region language is from a different branch than Dutch, and apparently closer to English. Also, Swedish, Danish and Norwegian are from the Northwest Germanic branch while "my" Dutch and West-Saxonic dialect are from the West Germanic branch. diachronica.com/language/rad...
