The Tiny Awards submissions have all been compiled and there's 123 cool unique websites for me to surf and judge. I have a month but I'm gonna power through and try and get them all done today before the new baby tinyawards.net
In the latest Dinamo font newsletter, I noticed how upfront and often they emphasized that the promo comic for their new font was “entirely hand drawn”, drawn by hand”, “not a single AI agent was involved”. How long before we see “hand made” badges on software?

One thing led to another, and I spent way too long making the nicest timezone picker UI, which most people will only need once if ever. It supports strumming the world map, searching by all major cities, and auto detection. Way beyond scope, but my inner Carmen Sandiego demanded it.
Deep cut question, what's your favorite timezone picker UI? I'm partial to the classic windows one

Working on adding due dates to cards next. There's a bit of a debate about whether to do timers (eg 30mins) or dates first. They're similar, but different enough to be different projects. I'm tackling the teams/project-planning use-case first because it seems more urgent.
@User Mentions in Cards [New] Based on feedback from the Teams Pilot program, you can now assign cards to space collaborators and group members by @mentioning them. @mentioned users will be notified (in-app or email).
The Kinopio sticker saga continues: so i checked out a local sticker printer (SleepyG Stickers) this morning and got a good impression. I also took some pictures of their print shop
Just received 100 sticker-sheets from the printer (Death By Stickers), and close up the line edges are super soft. Hard to photograph but Especially bleed is noticeable in the outlines of the white logo and 'kinopio' and 'club' text.
I used this same key icon to represent secrets (env and api keys) in both Glitch and Kinopio. But I originally drew it as the logo of a personal diary web app that I designed, but didn't have the dev skills to build at the time. Unearthed these mockups in a @sketch file created in 2014.
as part of a new WIP feature I'm refactoring boxes in lists, adding the ability to check off completed task [] boxes
vs the existing one (which i might still prefer after looking at both for a while)
what do you think of this alternate design for animated lines? it's a lot simpler/conventional and i think is more readable than the current animation of a circle travelling along the path

Based on the sticker sheet, mocked up this quick business card design. not sure if i'll use/print it though. Would be cool if it was possible to make the back of the card a sticker too
Hot take: I don't hate the new electric Ferrari, but it feels like it's not quite finished. Just sprinkle a bit more new Testarossa-style nip tucks and it would work. The price (like all modern Ferraris) is stupid ofc.
To print the Kinopio stickers, I had to split it into 2 layers: one with the stickers to kiss cut out and one with the background for the sheet. The background layer reminds me of "Who's That Pokémon" (or a crime scene photo)
This is the final sticker design I ended up sending for trial printing, if it goes well I can start sharing them IRL
WIP sticker progress 05: sizing it for a 4x6" sheet, still have to add all the safety margins and maybe a cool background. What do you think so far?
Here's a fun sociological experiment. As a reader, on Affinity's marketing page do you prefer the page with Enable Motion Enabled (default) or Disabled? I suspect most designers add scroll-jacking and scroll-fx mostly to impress other designers. (makes sense here bc designers are their market)
WIP stickers 04, here's where i am right now. Slowly getting closer. but – as is unfortunately part of the process – the color, background, and layout Really suck rn. Could use more ideas for stickers. Ideally I'd like to pack the page up with them.
