She sells sea #shells by the seashore? Doubtful. They’re free. Just take a walk on the beach & you’ll find them. Of course, you might find jellyfish & hermit crabs, too. We were at the 1981-1983 races. I did’t put a note on the back of the photo so I don’t know which race it’s from.

No writing prompt involved. It was a visual prompt instead. A glance at my boring wall clock convinced me to put pen to paper and this was the result. I have at least 100 notebooks & am starting to go back through some of them. This is from what was a new notebook in 2020. #writing #amlefthanded

The #carrion eaters showed up every spring when the rabbits made plentiful roadkill. There were so many rabbits that it was hard to drive down the street without hitting one. The buzzards kept trying to get at the roadkill but risked getting hit themselves. They kept trying, though. #vss365

Sunflowers were just a #distant dream since nothing grew where we lived. The climate was just too hot to grow #sunflowers much less anything else. Imagine out delight when we moved to an area where we could grow pretty much anything including sunflowers. #vss365 #thingstowriteabout

One of my more interesting adventures was flying out of the Bolivian Amazon in a WWII Fokker prop #plane. It had ‘La Reina Beatrix’ printed on one side. The town had a ‘modest’ airport with a grass landing strip. We flew back up to La Paz and made it without any issues. #thingstowriteabout

We loved spending our Philadelphia childhood summers at the Jersey shore. Hermit crabs, #seafoam & horseshoe crabs were some of our favorite things. You could play skeeball & had countless food choices. Some days when the wind is blowing just right I can catch a whiff of that happy time. #vss365

Took these photos at the first CART race in Long Beach. It was 1984 & the whales were not on the convention center yet. They appeared in July 1992. I worked for the local cable TV company & had access to the track & pits. #LBGP #indycar #CART
