@pocky469
I've been known as "Pocky" since 1995. Translator since 1999, localization manager, project manager, gamer, dad. (And streamer? Sort of?) In Japan somewhere. He/Him. BLM. 日本語OKです。
Hi folks! Sorry for not streaming on Fridays recently, things have been busy for me on the family-side of things. ^^; Today, I was helping with the PTA’s “parent patrol”, which consisted of a bunch of parents walking a loop around the local train station. I’ll try to stream next week if I can!
This is a fun little challenge. I'm SO close... www.playdrumsonline.com/whitney-hous...
Earthquake, looks to be centered on Gunma. Tokyo mainly got level 3 (shaking but not major damage).
Hi folks! Unfortunately, I won’t be able to stream today, but I’ll try to finish off Ys: The Oath in Felghana soon! By way of apology, please accept thee pictures of a little bird sheltering on our balcony on this snowy day in Tokyo.
I saw this at the local Japan Meat grocery store, but this was the only thing. So weird.
Folks who stream, I would like some advice: I have to use my TV as my monitor and audio output instead of headphones for various reasons, so I end up with echos. Are there any ways to deal with that, other than headphones? This is a diagram of my setup.
@doronjosama.bsky.social Spotted in Nagoya, on the Higashiyama Line!
It looks like the AWS outage is pretty widespread, it hit parts of Tokyo, too.
I know that it’s technically illegal, but I wish I had a spare copy of the Circle of Magic series by Debra Doyle and James D. Macdonald, so I could scan them in for posterity. It’s a series that I love to this day, and hate the idea that they’re no longer really available for purchase anywhere.
Heading off to prep our booth at Tokyo Game Show! If you’re going to be there, I hope that you can stop by! (Hall 11, E02, the indies area)
Sekai Project will be at the Indie Area of Tokyo Game Show, in Hall 11, section E20. Hope to see you there!
Hi folks! Tomorrow's stream will be at 10AM JST (9PM EDT/6PM PDT)! I'll be continuing my playthrough of Hollow Knight: Silksong, and this time, the Pocky Pain Wheel will be active for $5US a spin! I hope that you'll come by and watch! www.twitch.tv/originalpocky/
Addendum: I HOPE THEY ARE NOT LYING/WRONG ABOUT THIS. "It's going to be a fair bit easier to find the tablet (pieces)."
"Post a screenshot of your first five Steam purchases and let Bluesky judge you" I would swear I bought stuff before this, but for the life of me, I can't remember. XD (Six because the second from the top was a gift for the spouse, wasn't sure if those counted)
@demontague.bsky.social Request for ID: Do you know which Hololive EN members these are? Thank you~
I was off, it’s 800 yen for this one (Monster Hunter), but I’ve heard of others.
So I finally got to try Pot Noodle (UK instant noodle), thanks to a friend visiting from Europe. It’s okay. The flavor (this was “Beef & Tomato”) was kind of bland, but I also tend to like really strong flavors/spice. I have one more to try (“Bombay Bad Boy”), but so far, I think it’s not bad.
A great big thank you to @zuramaru.net for a wonderful reminder of home. ^^
So, I looked up the game/software to see if anyone else had it... and Surugaya has it for a different price, for the same listing. o.o
Tae Kwon V looks similar to Mazinger Z, to be sure. TKV has never seen an English translation, what little clips I've seen were neat.
I haven’t really drawn anything in a long, long time. But this is for you. ^^
Hey @sam-animeherald.bsky.social , have you seen these before? Just spotted them in Akihabara, they seem to be a collection of old articles and interviews.
I don't know if the Multi-Language System will be available in physical stores in Japan or not, but the website says that it can ONLY be ordered on the My Nintendo store. マイニンテンドーストアのみの販売となります。 www.nintendo.com/jp/hardware/...
Question: "Can I play game carts that I purchased overseas in my Nintendo Switch 2 (Japanese-Language System)?" Answer: "We cannot guarantee that game carts purchased overseas will be playable."
