Red Dress Day is held every May 5th. It began in 2010 with the REDress Project, a creation of Métis artist Jaime Black, and is a National Day of remembrance and activism honouring the lives of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirited People (MMIWG2S+).
