Political, economic and policy stuff. An unrepentant guitar gear hoarder. You know who I am. A social democrat on the beats - a libertarian between the human, civil and political rights sheets. The stupidity in this country is exhausting. Moreton Bay
Part 3. Now - sure, no one reads the news. But it becomes the base content for social media and the usual brainrot. Wall to wall nihilism and doomerism. This was just today, off one front page, off one site.
The biggest problem with Australia is that our the media hates the country and everything must be bad always at all times. Here is today's example from just the front page of Murdoch's NewsDotcom. So many examples it needs a thread!
But then we'd have to be adults about it - and the country isn't good at being adults. For what it's worth, this is my view of Australia's primary strategic interests
Nearly every billionaire is an intellectual crime. Yes Gina, we tax flows, not stocks (no Gina, stocks aren't stonks). I suggest Gina pack up her iron ore business, take it to New Zealand and see how far she gets. These people are morons
"What evidence do you have that they're not?", you ask. This is a stupid question, but how about.. wait for it.... The very picture, of the very advertising, about the very issue, in the very post you replied to! Good grief
If you're going for quilted maple, search around the reclaimed wood stuff. When it sits for a hundred years or so it gets a 3D look rather than the bubbles of 2D. This maple is about 200 years old off what looks like a 250 year old tree (before it became part of a church (orginally))
And nothing. That's the point! I own an SS Commodore. I've owned a few of them. Am I nazi? Is Holden a nazi Is General Motors a nazi org? Afterall - the backend writing looked like this
I'd love to buy a civilian version of the ADF's Hawkei, but shrunk down in size to a 1985 Hilux. I'd also like world peace. Alas
I checked out a bunch of compressors today. Man, the NUX Komp Core Deluxe MKII Compressor made me raise my eyebrows. It'll do both old fashioned squash through to modern studio compressions. for $120 AUD! It was a better compressor than some stuff with a 4 in front of it.
There is certainly foreign influence operations run by Israel in Australia about anti-semitism as a foreign policy objective, but to use that as bulwark to say there is no antisemitism on the left is a fantasy. Just one example from tonight
What's your budget for a compressor? There's plenty of options at price points. My fav has been discontinued for years.
I haven't done anything to mine for nearly 4 years. Once you get it sorted for the sounds in your head, rather than the itchiness of your wallet, it gets pretty stable. When I have do things that don't require a space shuttle, I just use my Helix or make up a quick 5 pedal board.
He's like a pile of bricks with legs. Even when he was a pup at 3 months old, he was just dense mass (even with his cone of shame on) - yet fast and agile like both breeds.
A Kelpie is a predominately Australian based working dog (cattle/sheep) that has enormous intelligence and independence. A Catahoula is a Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog (one of yours!) - another breed with enormous intelligence. My boy is 80 pounds of Catahoula stuffed into a 35 pound bag of Kelpie
She was a unique dog . If we had friends around, she'd sit on a chair around the table with the rest of us and participate. She'd make an entrance to a room for attention, and if no one paid attention, she'd go back and do it again with dramatic flair to gather some. Best trainer of young dogs too
So I changed tuning tables to performance instead of cruise, changed exhaust settings and casually left with all 8 cylinders making noise with a bit of stick to add to the confusion - with a dogs head out each window looking back to make it more ridiculous. Never waste a chance to be a funny clown
Barnaby Joyce - 'regrets - I've had a few' Here's my 17 page bullet point summary. What a fucking clown
Hands up if you know the relationship between the price of oil and mortality rates among the poorest global quintile? <looks around - there's that one lass way over in the back corner>
Social Cohesion, one vertebrae at a time, one pensioner at a time, until we all start getting along by thinking what the government tells you to.
Since we're talking about One Nation and their history of providing us with some truly exceptional candidates, this is from the PHON candidate for Macalister in the 2017 State election. One of the top ten twitter exchanges of all time.
