so I remembered I have beads and string at home and tried making my own set of komboloi, except the only beads I had in an appropriate size + shape + number are these bone beads carved into little skulls, so that's just what I'm using now apparently. also snowflake obsidian and some evil eye beads.
new favorite pizza topping: SWAD Hot & Sweet Sauce
*fusses with his hair ever more frustratedly, pushing it away from one side to the other* ugh, it is *too hot* to have hair *leans back in exasperation, eyes fall on his set of clippers* …yeah, it's depilation time, it's been too long since I've felt the ecstasy of the breeze upon the scalp
I have ordered a new bumper sticker as Mars in Gemini remediation
Sure, it's horribly hot, so I may as well enjoy driving to work from taichi class with the windows down and with my shirt off. If I have to suffer, I may as well luxuriate and look good about it. (Some habits never change; I was doing the same thing nigh twenty years ago growing up at the beach.)
Besides being able to produce HTML *and* PDFs via LaTeX (which is what I use anyway for my ebooks), which is a godssend since I dreaded having to do such a conversion myself, because it compiles documentation, I can build up whole pages from simpler included files, making it much easier to maintain.
I was thinking of making a wiki or an old-school Geocities-esque website, but I *am* a software engineer, and a lot of programming websites for APIs or user tutorials use documentation engines to produce them. And, like…that the one I'm using is called Sphinx is just an unintentional bonus.
good morning, have a hearty breakfast of pb & jeggs
One of those Reddit threads where someone is showing themselves to be a fascist and also to lack reading comprehension skills—but I repeat myself. As always, thank you @gi66let1ts.bsky.social for this gift of a meme.
Conference presentation look today, talking about classical Hermeticism to a lodge of Masons. Almost worthy of a being my new headshot photo.
god and gods, multiple rounds of cooking and I'm finally done with preparing for a potluck tomorrow with spinach stuffing balls.
May the Two Benefics in their praise and blessing of Heaven shine brightly upon us all, lighting up our lives with joy and love, with sweetness and savoriness, with laughing and dancing, with abundance and friendship, and grant us all ease and peace on our ways in the world.
Over the weekend and to much internal fanfare, my organization pushed out Copilot to all Microsoft Office 365 apps on all our computers. I joined the AI use community channel in Teams, and asked if there was a way to turn it off.
Mfw I watch the official music video for the first time:
mezushtan (I am absolutely getting this to go with my new gorgoneion + ouroboros door knockers)
2) The orgone accelerator (or "shooter") I'm using this time is a 6-ply one made from a set of nested steel funnels, each covered on the outside with cotton tape and electrical tape, positioned above the quartz sphere and under the apex candleholder with its quartz cone.
1) The crystal grid is augmented by glass tealight candleholders, each packed with bionized sand and a Herkimer diamond. One is placed at each corner of the square formed by the quartz bars, and the fifth (which has a quartz cone pointed downward on its base) is set centrally above the whole setup.
The design is fundamentally the same as my earlier MaGOS setup, right down to the convenience of using a chemistry lab stand, but there are two big differences this time around that set it apart:
I had extra space big enough for one more table in my newly-remade temple room, so I decided to revitalize my old Manifesting and Generating Orgone System (MaGOS) project, with improvements and additions from the last time around over a decade back. It's active, and I'm excited to give it a whirl.
