Went with a group of JAs to this screening/panel discussion of Jon Osaki’s 2021 film Reparations today in Oakland and the place was PACKED. It was really helpful to better understand the local efforts and think about what long-term restorative justice can look like.

First time in a long time that I have two full weekend days to relax. Hoping to make today a drawing day, so I'm warming up by learning to draw our little rescue goblin Raven. Puppy is settling in nicely. Less nervous on potty walks finally and starting to do happy growly wiggles after her meals! 🎨

Brought our rescue pup home yesterday! She's a little 20lb doxie mix. Her shelter name was Raven and we ultimately decided to keep it. She'd just been spayed, but last night got a break from the cone, and so far so good today. I'm hopeful she'll decompress and adjust to the new routine quickly. 😭
