I keep telling people that the Southern Reach County Fair & Rodeo was a bad idea.

I went to read some recommended essay and AI slop art pops up in front. Why do we do this? Why do we dilute our creative & intellectual work with trash? Here, I made you a collage of Mark Twain with headphones using clipart.studio! It took ten minutes to scroll through some magazines and was fun!

Iris does a lot of things really nicely, and the headline remains its unification of diverse photos catalogs, but 'show in finder' is nearly worth the price of admission all by itself.

Dropped off my ballots and biked around, found another example of Seafair class war: the extra ritzy part of Mt Baker is closed to non locals, *patrolled by SPD in a golf cart* so the rest of us can't even park on their streets. Same people angry about "gentrification" on LWB bicycle weekends lol.

There is just a lot, lotta textures going up on this building.

An under construction apartment building, about five stories high. It has a somewhat wild variety of textures and wall treatments including what looks like corrugated aluminum, matte gray siding, and paneling filled with white triangles.

I bet the _per day_ pedestrian/bike traffic on LWB is higher all weekend than compared to prior years when it was a single day. Knowing that the closure to cars lasts all weekend makes it SO easy. What a tremendous public good.

A stretch of Lake Washington Blvd, mostly covered in afternoon shade and briefly mostly empty of other cyclists and walkers. It’s peaceful and lovely.

TIL that Fuji's raw studio software has perfectly nice support for saving and editing film simulation recipes. It's been there all along! I exclusively used Lightroom when I primarily made raw images, so I never thought to explore it. Never stop learning, huh? prettygoodhat.com/note/177965...

MacOS Journal app feels so half-baked. I thought I'd try it for a travelogue of my past week, dragged some photos to it, and it just dumps them in a pile. There's no arranging, scaling for layout of landscape and portrait, nothing. C'mon, Apple, I'm trying to not shell out for Day One again, here.
