Black Country, New Road - For The First Time (2021) I think the most original and fascinating new guitar bands come from the Windmill music scene, and BC,NR is probably my favourite among them. Their debut album is brilliant and definitely in my top 3 tomorrow. #5debutalbums2026

Spencer Cullum - Spencer Cullum's Coin Collection (2021) Excellent alternative country (?) from Nashville with pedal steel guitar and flute, influenced by English psychedelic folk and jazz (Canterbury, etc.) as well as, to some extent, by krautrock. I highly recommend it. #5debutalbums2026
