An absolutely shattering performance of Strauss’ ‘Elektra’ tonight at #EdinburghFestival.
I don’t know what paper it’s from. However the performance of ‘Hoffmann’ mentioned here was on the 24th February 1944. And what a cast, all led by Beecham no less.
