...do you want to keep digging that hole? You haven't hit the lower mantle yet. For those unaware, brainstorming sessions are part of the conceptualization stage of game development. The guy here is literally contradicting himself between paragraphs.

A developer response on Steam to the Grim Dawn AI usage problem.

"Grim Dawn does not have any AI generated assets. AI was not even used during concepting.

What we said was that AI was used during brainstorming, no different than doing an image search, except image search has, ironically, been made infinitely worse by all the AI slop now flooding the internet. It's literally impossible to go on a website like Pinterest now (once a valuable resource for artists) and not be inundated with AI images.

You are taking what was said out of context, I guess for some kind of misguided moral high ground."

I know there's bound to be some misinformation going around about the Microsoft layoff news... ...but come the HELL on.

A Bluesky post talking about recent gaming layoff and business news. Except they get the parent company wrong (it's Microsoft, not Sony) as well as one of the studios wrong (Sucker Punch is under Sony and made Ghost of Yotei, while the studio behind State of Decay is Undead Labs).

Not quite sure what the scam angle is here, but fake accounts for sports teams are now following anyone who in turn is following the official accounts for said sports teams. (Context: as a huge baseball fan, I follow all the existing official MLB accounts here on Bluesky, including @padres.com.)

It's normally somewhat amusing (to me, at least) when people get baited by good satire. When, however, you know the pro-genAI crowd is going to use it as evidence of general ignorance in order to support what they're pushing, it suddenly becomes a whole lot less funny.
