Prospect members at Royal Museums Greenwich are out on strike for a second day, fighting for better terms and conditions ✊ Members at the Royal Observatory are among those taking action ahead of this evening’s solar eclipse, sending a strong message to management: museum workers won’t be eclipsed 🌘
It’s not too late for Norwich Airport to avert industrial action. Our National Secretary David Avery was on BBC Radio Norfolk this morning as we prepare to meet with airport management today, with air traffic control staff due to start action short of a strike next week.
There is a funding crisis in heritage. Our General Secretary on Times Radio as Prospect members at the Royal Museums Greenwich take their second day of strike action, including members at the Royal Observatory on the day of the solar eclipse.

Turns out toilet breaks were possible after all 🚽 Members stood together, refused to back down and secured an important victory. The V&A has agreed to introduce two paid 15-minute breaks for staff at Storehouse after months of campaigning by Prospect members.
Our members at V&A Storehouse are taking strike action because they don’t get proper breaks to drink water and use the toilet on shift. These working practices shouldn’t exist in a flagship museum in 2026. Join our General Secretary Mike Clancy in sending a message of solidarity to V&A workers.

Great to hear from Peter Kyle, Secretary of State for Business and Trade, at Prospect National Conference. He spoke to delegates about the need for workers' rights to keep pace with the changing world of work, as well as the Employment Rights Act, Fair Work Agency and industrial strategy.
Why would any union affiliate with a party that wants to roll back workers’ rights and weaken protections at work? 🤨 Mike Clancy responds to Nigel Farage’s invitation to trade unions.

Our General Secretary marked International Workers' Memorial Day with the Health and Safety Executive today. We will continue the fight to protect people at work. Remember the dead, fight for the living.
It was stressed that getting this right is crucial, not just for healthy workplaces, but to tackle far right and anti-worker rhetoric. The panel discussion that followed was clear that trade unions must start and keep a dialogue going on all of this - with businesses, law makers and worker. 4/4
