This article may be confusing or unclear to readers. In particular, the lead refers correctly to transformations of Euclidean spaces, while the sections describe only the case of Euclidean vector spaces or of spaces of coordinate vectors. The "formal definition" section does not specify which kind of objects are represented by the variables, call them vaguely as "vectors", suggests implicitly that a basis and a dot product are defined for every kind of vectors. In dimension two, a rigid motion is either a translation or a rotation. In dimension three,

Systemizing, the drive to find and map the rules underlying any system, appears to be so amplified in many autistic people that it functions almost like a perceptual filter. Where a neurotypical person sees a social situation, an autistic person may simultaneously see the underlying decision tree. This isn't a failure to grasp context.
It's a different hierarchy of what counts as signal versus noise, one that proves extraordinarily powerful in mathematics, music, coding, and any domain where hidden structure rewards patient, detail-first attention.

Hi there -
The two drugs work differently. While bicalutamide blocks androgen receptors, it does not directly lower testosterone levels, whereas spironolactone does reduce circulating testosterone levels as well as has more of a role in improving endogenous estrogen and progesterone signaling in the body. There is also much more data supporting the use of spironolactone in transgender patients, whereas there is much less known about bicalutamide's effects in this population. Moreover, there are also a number of risks that we would need to discuss in depth further in order to make a

plan to start it safely. Bicalutamide has a very real risk of severe liver toxicity, and because of this risk, the Pediatric Endocrine Society do not include it in their guidelines, and recommend spironolactone as the anti-androgen of choice.
I would recommend getting established on spironolactone and seeing what response with this medicine first.

LLM is a machine that generates only one word at a time. When you ask a chatbot to recite the Pledge of Allegiance, you will get the entire pledge at once, but the underlying LLM is actually being run dozens of times. The first prompt has the form "User: Recite the Pledge of Allegiance.

This is the rest of what was sent to me btw. I apparently do feel things more intensely but I think I do also have trauma but I do also (also) get told everyone feels the same etc.

The nervous system differences that show up in this population, the sensory sensitivity, the dysautonomia, the emotional reactivity, the pain processing, they appear to be neurodevelopmental. Wired in. Genetic. Not a response to experience. Not a wound that needs healing. Present from before any of that. hEDS, ADHD and/or Autism often present together because it is the same genes at play behind those neurodevelopmental differences.
For those of us who have lived with these conditions our whole lives, many of us without a diagnosis for decades, this is enormous.
Because one of the most common things we hear, usually from people who genuinely care and are trying to help, is that our symptoms are rooted in unresolved trauma. And I want to be generous here because that framework is widely taught and the people saying it do often mean well.
But when you've spent a lifetime being told your very real physical symptoms are psychological, that you're too sensitive, that you just need to do more inner work, that comment lands on a lot of sore spots.
I remember sitting at a dinner table about ten years ago and, maybe for the first time in my life, saying out loud that I think I feel things more intensely than other people do. I got laughed at. Told it was ridiculous, impossible, that everyone feels everything the same and I was just being a baby.
