Here in #autowa we had some grassy curb areas that drivers kept running over. The city decided to bury them in asphalt 🙃 We live in stupid times (Photos lifted from another users post)

This is completely unsafe and unacceptable. The only sidewalk on Prince of Wales has been ripped up, the southbound bike lane is full of stupid parked cars and the northbound lane has a pile of gravel and a truck parked in it. @riverwardriley.bsky.social why is there no safe alternative for people

Ottawa has some interesting spots

I hate this city at times City vehicle illegally parked by Rideau. When I approached them they told me I had a lot of nerve 🤣 Then they did uturn and drove the entire length of the pedestrian block Then this RCMP monster vehicle decided to park on the sidewalk not the driveway next to York Steps

It's part of my late 80s teen baseline behaviour. Hide Find a good private spot by the river and pretend the world is perfect Sometimes quiet spots are exactly what you need in a busy world filled with chaos

I'm still deeply fascinated by the things you can find on GeoOttawa I was happy to see all the trees in the parking lot planted 1965-1991 but then shocked to see that 2008-2019 they were all torn out for more parking 🙃 During a climate emergency. And it's mostly always seem empty 🤷

Why are @octranspo.com and RTM incapable of reading signs? It's clearly marked that there's no parking on the heritage bridge #autowa brained idiot was sitting in his truck texting. When I pointed out the no parking sign he shrugged and said he was on a break This city is fucking awful

Is the illegal parking lot on Bank @ Florence ever going to be shut down?

If you zoom in you can see the broken guardrails that have been patched with cheap wooden snow fencing. The left side since last year!

I almost don't want to share this but there's a fantastically luxuriant spot of grass down by the Ottawa River in front of the Cliff St energy plant I think it's mostly because it's newish and isn't used much as the through route is blocked by construction. It's heavenly with a book and a blanket

I was there this past winter. I was very impressed. I think it will be interesting to see how it grows and matures

Sadly I think this tree is dead. That's what happens when it's used as a dumping ground for snow filled with road salt. 3rd tree in 3 years that's died there 😞

Once again people like this power wash company are driving across the sidewalk to park in this vacant lot on Bank St 😔

At first I was sceptical but the new heating plant on Parliament Hill is fantastic. Beautiful design and it'll have fantastic greenspace and lookouts. I secretly hope it'll remain a Centertown secret for awhile once it opens 🤣 The feds have been doing a lot of really great city building lately

I have an extra set of standard handles/clips for Arkel panniers if anyone would like them. Seems silly to have them lying around when I could give them away to a new home My current rear rack is a larger than standard tube size so I needed to order a larger replacement set a few years back

I can top that here in Ottawa A few years back city crews were called out on a Sunday to power spray anti-racism chalk signs off sidewalks The mayor did admit after that it was a mistake

The illegal parking lot on Bank@Florence is still thriving with no enforcement There's no driveway so #Autowa is deliberately driving over the curb and sidewalk 🤷

I was surprised to see cute little beaver out and wandering so publicly. Perhaps it's enjoying the warm morning and all the flooded areas
