The scene is set somewhere within the canalta timberlands, one of their natural habitats. A waterfall spills over a rocky cliff wall into a large pool, where sunlight glitters off the water and fish circle beneath the water. Two jellyfish-like creatures, starry meduso, drift in the air beside the waterfall. Plant life can be seen growing on the shore and reflected in the water, and rocky spires stretch into the sky, greenery sprouting from between cracks in the stone.

A lush jungle can be seen in the distance, and a tree with leaves like a lilypad grows beside the top of the waterfall. Tufted grass peeks into the foreground as it sways in the slight breeze, perhaps offering a bit of cover for the waiting aknosom, although their brilliant colouration would make it hard for them to camouflage anywhere.

Their gaze is turned towards the viewer, a look of excitement and expectation in their sparkling eyes. Their antennae are wiggling excitedly, and their mouthparts are reaching towards the droplet.
The firefly is mostly black, with a wingcase that looks remarkably like a sunflower seed speckled with yellow. The black plate of their body that shields their head has a vibrant streak of yellow and red. Segmented black legs grip the bark with little two-toed feet, reaching intrepidly forwards as they climb. Beneath their wings, a hint of bright pink peeks out, revealing the vibrancy of their hidden abdomen.
