when I was 12 I read Kafka's metamorphosis and I really liked bugs and I didn't understand mental illness yet so for the first half of the book I was just really excited that he had turned into a big beetle

point going over head meme. person is looking at the famous image of Gregor Samsa transformed into an insect from The Metamorphosis and thinking "truly, in modern society, disability and dependence are stigmatized, and if someone is no longer able to fill the provider role, even their closest family will become cold and unsympathetic over time." The "real" point of the book, going over their head, is "woah he turns into a HUGE bug that's really fucking cool"
