Twenty-one years ago, Canada made history. Canada’s Civil Marriage Act became law redefining civil marriage from “the union of a man & a woman to the exclusion of all others” to the union of two persons to the exclusion of all others. The change marked a major milestone for #2SLGBTQIA+ rights in 🇨🇦.

DID YOU KNOW the first 🏳️🌈 flags were flown on this day, June 25th? In 1978 San Gilbert Baker started working on multiple designs for a flag that could serve as a symbol of the #2SLGBTQIA+ community, The 🏳️🌈 flags were flown f/t 1st time at the San Francisco #Gay Freedom Day Parade June 25th, 1978.
