Build-a-rat was awesome (please meet Rabitha Verminx, star of stage and screen) but also I had to listen to two 25-y-os wonder if people on their 40s know what Heated Rivalry is.

A lot of my tattoos are creatures (snail boat, jackalope, hammerhead, swallow). I don’t repeat creatures because it’s not about any given creature being my thing. Tattooist who did jackalope has a flash thing for a rabbit rescue. Is getting a rabbit or hare too much with my giant jackalope tattoo?

Jake update! He’s hissy! He’s sad! But he’s FIV/FeLV negative, lets us pet him after hissing, has great blood work, and needs an echocardiogram to approve dental surgery. He needs socialization and a foster but he’s getting love, care, and some socialization work with us and we’re so happy he’s ok!

Jake, a white and grey feral cat who lived in the streets for 12 years seen inside he double height crate an he adjusts to indoor life. He’s hissing and squinting his eye but it looks like a smile.

We love you, Jake!

Street cat, Jake, is recovering from the loss of his bonded cat Millie. He is twelve years old and just beginning his inside journey. He has white fur that seems rough and a bit dirty and he has a great spot of fur on his left ear and eyebrow. He is sitting on a soft bed in a crate as he acclimates and goes through quarantine and getting. Freedom and thriving coming soon!

I am heartbroken to report that Millie passed of suspected kidney failure this morning as we were readying to take her to the vet.

A small black and white cat sits in the shadows. Her name was Millie and she was loved for twelve years on the streets of Brooklyn and for two days inside with a warm bed and her bonded buddy Jake.

They’re here! Jake and Millie are in @pluperfectpatty.bsky.social’s office upstairs. Tomorrow we’ll book initial vetting for them, get them set up in the large double decker crate, and reach out to potential fosters! They’re cuddled up together and purring!

Okay Brooklyn! Wild cat rescue ask! Two feral cats who are now 12 walked inside someone’s apartment during the blizzard. It’s time for them to retire from the streets but can’t stay where they are. Can they stay with you? More in thread!
