Had a great time in Worksop this morning with @bassetlawgreen.bsky.social I've had a tough week, and started today feeling negative but spending time with this lot has really cheered me up. A few conversations which started 'I won't vote for you', but ended with common ground and interest.

Really really great morning. So many more people came, chatted, joined. No one yelled 'we're all Reform here' this time. Not in Retford, we aren't. It was great to have SUTR with us too. Doing these things together is more fun and - I think - approachable.

Put up our first stakeboard today in Ranskill. Achievement unlocked, will do many more next time. It's a bit swallowed by the hedge but at least it doesn't look like a hangman's gallows, like the one just down the road....

Happy Summer Solstice I plan to celebrate by hiding from the sun aaaaaazll day.

I've had a brilliant time leading up to this election - talked with so many interesting, fun people. Learnt a lot, been encouraged, did exercise. Met some top tier dogs. We're doing this because the country needs change but it can also be a really uplifting, positive thing to do.

I'll be standing in the 2025 Council elections for Misterton division, in Bassetlaw. It's a beautiful area - I live right on the edge of Retford and my garden is literally in Misterton division.
