Have you seen The Wire, written by a veteran police reporter in Baltimore who collaborated with a local veteran narcotics officer?It's intended to be a realistic gang-LE portrayal. So, I'm sure this jab is an acknowledgment of Trump twisting reality into his own fantasy scenario.

True Threats

The First Amendment does not bar the government from prohibiting "true" threats. True threats—as distinguished from "political hyperbole"—occur when the speaker "means to communicate a serious expression of an intent to commit an act of unlawful violence to a particular individual or group of individuals." To comply with the First Amendment, the government must prove that the defendant either knew or recklessly ignored—that is, "consciously disregarded a substantial risk"—that the defendant's "communications would be viewed as threatening violence."

Despite what you might believe, the US isn't the whole world. Fucking
heartbreaking that underresourced countries are left to handle deadly
outbreaks alone and lives are lost as a result.

Hey did you read the article? It's possible to care about more than one
thing. Every single one of those people who *did* die of Ebola was a
human being, and you coming into the comments to dismiss & diminish
their deaths and the sacrifices of hcws in the region to yell about
plastics is disgusting.
