I really appreciated the absolute cosmic horror story that was Picnic at Hanging Rock.
Ben surprised me with a giant portrait of JFK after I got home from work.
I saw someone else posting about it so here goes! I was lucky to get an arc of Chimera by @scumbelievable.bsky.social and devoured it (pun intended) in two sittings. I’ve been looking at animals differently all day. No one does it as great as her. 🦊
I loved the pomp of St Peter’s Fiesta. I also loved watching men fall off the greasy pole.
Today is my local pride! My frog and toad shirt is the best thing to wear on this occasion. 🐸🐸
Having a writing retreat at one of my all time favorite places, the public library.
Today is also my anniversary. I’m so blessed to have this wonderful man at my side. Having a great partner is one of life’s biggest blessings.
Make sure you check out the work of David Elliot, Freddie Kölsch, and Codie Crowley. They were lovely work with.
I got to moderate an amazing panel for the New England Independent Booksellers Association with some very talented writers.
Rewatched Assault on Precinct 13 and boy, is it a well put together movie. Also the moment when Leigh puts the cigarette in Wilson’s mouth is pure sex.
My niece is having a costume party, so obviously I’m going as a bee.
Watched Night of the Living Dead for the first time (not a zombie person) as Synthwave Horror on Tubi. My heart broke for Ben 😭
Thank you @ttmaddenwrites.bsky.social for taking this amazing picture of me at my reading!!!
A few members of my horror writer group. @ttmaddenwrites.bsky.social @jeswrites.bsky.social and @ryanvanellswrites.bsky.social you are all the best!
Stokercon was an immense privilege to be able to attend. I got to meet, see, and chat with lovely folks. Community is more important than ever.
Damn, I’m sad to hear about Anthony Stewart Head’s passing. I wasn’t a Buffy fan, but Repo! was HUGELY important to me as a teen. That movie owes him so much.
Wandering around Stokercon! FYI! The post office is closed tomorrow.
