Some cats love belly rubs, although it's probably more of a dog thing. My ladycat loves it!
He's very handsome, isn't he, young Momo. My ladycat, Phoebs, is pleased to meet him. Here she is. Her whiskers may be grey now (she's about 14) but she's still a beautiful princess, and I tell her this on a daily basis.
A selection of midsummer blooms from my late mum’s lovely garden in Acrefair. Taken in June 2023, the last year she owned the house.
When my black rescue cat came to live with me (aged approx. 2) her whiskers were black, like the rest of her. She's about 14 now and the whiskers are white. I tell her I love her multiple times a day but she's retained her gentle modesty. 🖤
This is a great idea. I'd definitely be more open to going to parties if this was a proper... thing.
Hmm… he does look delightfully squishy and gorgeous doesn’t he. I tell my own ladycat how beautiful she is every day. Happily she is a sweet and humble creature and doesn’t let the adoration go to her head. 🖤
Yes - Be the hare! I bought this print from the creator, the immensely talented artist and printmaker, Colin Blanchard. It's called "I Shall Go Into a Hare".
Some photos taken on a bimble around my late mum’s old garden, taken in March 2023. Welcome to Spring! (photos taken on my phone)
I’ve just finished reading ‘Everything Will Swallow You’ by @dj-acid-reflux.bsky.social and thought I’d write a review. While it’d be better not to buy it from the world-eating online store that shall not be named, a review there might be useful.
@celestineandthehare.com Grandmother Badger's little family have just arrived! I've introduced them to her and they're already settling in and munching on their travelling choklit while they wait for a story.
Gorgeous sunflowers gifted by a visiting friend the other day - sunshine in a vase.
'The Sixteen Trees of the Somme' by Norwegian author, Lars Mytting. Such a fascinating and compelling tale and well worth a read if you're looking for a book recommendation. Note: it's been translated into English in case you're not a fluent Norwegian speaker.
My mum, Maura, is finally on her way to be with her beloved late husband, Robbie. RIP and farewell, Mum, you were the best. 6th February 1933 - 18th June 2025. Here's a rose from your lovely garden to take with you.
I wonder when that might be (Boundless becomes "cash stable") if ever. They're slippery worms, all of them, aren't they. Just as well you've been doing what you can to recoup some of the lost money (selling stacks of books directly).
A favourite poem of my mum's. She had a lifelong love of WB Yeats. The photograph is called Chant sacré by Charles Emile Joachim Constant Puyo, c1899.
My sister and I message back and forth a lot and experience frequent mistyping events. After a severe bout of mistypes we'd always add "ffs" and at Christmas, she sent me a keyring.
Today is my little pal’s tenth ‘Gotcha Day’. I brought Phoebs home from the RSPCA’s Southall cattery on 31st January 2015, when her whiskers were still black, initially as a foster, and the rest, as they say, was history. 🖤
