Using Ben Hardaway’s Rabbit character, Tex Avery gave it along with Elmer Fudd a redesign thanks to Bob Givens and Robert McKimson. For the rabbit’s personality, Avery got the inspiration from Clark Gable’s role in It Happened One Night (1934).

Honestly that is true as that title was also packaged with other railroad video not produced by TM. Specifically this one.

One more thing I forgot to mention with Great Toy Train Layouts of America 1, certain copies of the original 1988 release came with a B&W case.

TM Highlights (1993) And here is the final title on this thread and quite frankly one of the more rarer ones of the bunch. This is TM’s only Video Catalog as far as I know. And like the ILTT Demo tape, this too doesn’t have an official cover as it was just in a white card slipcase.

The Train Layouts of Norm Charbonneau (2019) TM’s Only Blu-ray release and ironically it’s currently out of print and quite rare nowadays. And for being the last of TM compilation videos, it’s nice to see that a TM video in HD that isn’t on a streaming service.

The Underground Railroad Shoppe (2013) Now this is a unique TM title as you can get this title…However you’ll have to get it from The Underground Railroad Shoppe Website (yes that’s what it’s called). As to how many copies there are available for this title is a bit of a mystery.

Holiday Music From Toy Trains & Christmas (1999) Due to current copies of Toy Train Christmas Memories discarding this title as apart of the release as well as that A Lionel Christmas being on its own release, this title is rare. You can still find it on DVD via the 2003 & 2005 releases of TTCM.

TMBV CDs During the 2000s, TM has put out several CD releases. Some of which you can still find today, however some became out of print and rare as a result. More so than others. These are The Sounds of Lionel, Toy Trains & Christmas Album, and All About John Deere The Music Vol. 1 & 2.

Goes unused. Which was a shot of a carnival, which explains why there was footage of the MTH circus train in the opening. My guess as to why it was cut because Part 12 was long enough as is.

The I Love Toy Trains 12 Trailer. I’ve talked about Rare and Out of Print stuff, now here’s something that is pretty much lost media. This trailer was in the same style of I Love Toy Trains 9, 10, & 11, I Love Big Trains, and the Century videos, however it has one shot for a segment that-

The Toy Train Revue Webzine Like its Video Series and Magazine counterparts, TM also made a Website Magazine version as well feature the same aspects that made TTR so enjoyable. Including some BTS stuff at TM plus some videos shot around the same time as ILTT 12. However it went offline in 2024.

The Choo Choo Barn VHS (1992) This is a segment from Toy Train Revue 3 but on its own VHS. As an extra, History of Model Railroading in America was also added as well as the TTR promo.

The Ford Videos In 2014 and 2016, TM produced two videos for Ford. Mustang: The First 50 Years and The History of Ford Trucks. They also released the broadcast version of the former on DVD. All three releases are currently out of print but are easy to find.

The Last TM Titles Released on VHS. 2005 & 2006 saw the last titles TM produced on VHS. Several rarity can comes these years such as I Love Toy Trains 1 (2005 reprint), All About John Deere 4 (2006) & The Great Train Story (2006) to name a couple.

Lionel Ready to Run Train Set Instruction Video (2004) Now this one is an odd one: while the VHS version you can get on its own, the DVD version you may find in several Lionel sets, though you may find it on its own online every once in a while.

I Love Toy Trains: The Best of Part 1-3 (2005) Before the later Best of ILTT DVDs for the series’s 20th Anniversary, here’s one that covers the first three parts.

A Century of Lionel Trains: Festival Version (2003) Didn’t know that the century videos had an alternate release huh? Well here is another TM rarity. Unlike the main videos, this one combines the two but shortens it to an hour that TM took to different Film Festivals back in 2000.

I Love Toy Trains 1: Constructive Playthings Version (1999) It’s pretty much like the 1997 VHS but with Wooden Train after the intro theme and a different FBI Warning Screen. Not much say about this one but it is rare though.

I Love Toy Trains Special Edition DVDs (The 2002-03 Version) I might as well include these too and their VHS counterparts around this time. Mainly because of the fact that these versions were updated in 2005 mainly with their menus, covers, & trailers in the latter 2.

Model Train Layouts by Clarke Duhman (2000) Another rare title from TM as once again, not many copies have surfaced nowadays on the market. And like the previous entry, no footage of either video has surfaced online. Hopefully one day, these two videos will get their time to shine.

Atlas O 21st Century Track System (1999) Possibly one of TM’s rarer titles since nowadays not many copies have survived. Although it was on the old website and in a few of their catalogs. Which makes me wonder..did it not sell well or Atlas gave them release window after the original release?

While it’s short lived, he did make several videos about toy trains. 8 in total. Several of which he collaborated with Lionel collector Joe Algozzini largely with the Lionel: The Great Years Trilogy and the Stop, Look and Listen Duology.

The Model Train Videos by Don Varda. (1994-1996) After Don Varda worked at TM for a few years specifically between 1991 and 1994, he went and formed his own company, Varda Communication Corporation.

Such as visits to the Lionel Factory and Visitor Center and Carail. Which funny enough this was the first appearance of the Carail Standard Gauge Layout in a TM video believe it or not. That and apparently the unusual load pulled by the 390 on the second level is actually a camera.
