I survived another week at camp with my 15 scouts!! Please accept this grainy photo in lieu of anything with a kid's face in it. The guy crouching is my 16-year-old, who is working all summer as a counselor.
Actually!! I just found this pile of notecards with major plot points. I thought I was working off some other master doc but apparently not. I almost threw them away when I cleaned off my desk!
This is from when I first got it, couple years ago now. It's a little less crisp now but I still love it. Also hoping to add to it... someday.
I'm 90% sure this was said in jest, but this has been going on about 4 blocks from my house and my husband and I run down every morning to watch like a couple of 5-year-olds.
Initially I was just gonna log off social media for Lent but I was so productive I decided to stay off until I finished my book. So anyway... I'm back.
When we got home from church today this guy was butt-scooting down our neighbor's fake grass lawn.
It does not matter how much I prep in advance or test-fit. Every single glue-up inevitably comes to me rushing around, desperately trying to find one more clamp or piece of wood before my glue sets.
I got this little guy just to play around before I go in any deeper but I flashed it to Meshcore first because it sounds more reliable... nobody near enough to message, though! Looks like there's 1 meshtastic node near me so I'll give that a try I guess.
Before ---> during ---> still during Progress! Next up: new flooring and then lower cabinet and sink.
Probably a year ago, my husband decided he needed to have a picnic with all nine kinds of pies. I tried to hold him off for as long as I could, but he informed me that this Christmas, IT WAS HAPPENING. He has spent the last 4 days doing almost nothing but prepping and baking. For... this:
But he can't eat it all, and he feels bad letting all that delicious pie go to waste, so he leaves a very hungry moose and a deserving porcupine to finish it up.
IT'S TIME. Remember Harold and the Purple Crayon? During his adventure, Harold gets peckish, so he lays out a "nice simple picnic lunch" composed of "all nine kinds of pie that Harold liked best."
My husband has apparently been acquainted with me for quite some time
Did not realize becoming a regular blood donor would also keep me supplied with clothing. Last time it was a t-shirt, this time socks. Maybe next time I get pants?
Years ago I joked that when my grandmother finally died, her descendants would descend into chaos and bloodshed over my beloved grandfather's crystal knife rest. Well--I got to it first. MUAHAHAHAHA
I would be extremely surprised if you did! I might see if I can like do a gradual fade from all 7 colors to the three I've got left. (I can still get that bright pink, light mint green, and the steel blue.)
Just, uh, laying here in a high-traffic area. No reason in particular.
I'm a substitute. I saw this recently and nabbed it to put in my kit. Gonna whip it out next time a middle schooler pulls 6-7 on me and let hilarity ensue. I love it when the kid memes AREN'T something foul or inappropriate for a change!
@tuphlos.bsky.social I keep meaning to tell you I got that refrigerator white board! Working out well so far.
Convincing you to read my novel with the first sentence. Add yours if you'd like.
