WGA screenwriter & filmmaker. Harvey & Eisner award winning VP of Editorial at Z2 Comics. An island of bemused calm in the chaotic seas of the entertainment industry. No Gods. No Kings.
Just announced as part of the lead up to SDCC... The graphic novel oral history of ANTHRAX! I have genuinely laughed aloud so many times during the editing of this book. The guys have some GREAT stories to tell! And a Brian Bolland cover? Come ON now! Check it out at z2comics.com
Pieces from one of my favorite artists, Robert Longo, for America's 250th. These are all huge charcoal drawings. From his STAND series.
Acquired on my recent trip to the wilds of Idaho. Missing Harlan on this anniversary of his passing. Grateful to have had some small moments with him, and extremely grateful for the powerful and influential body of work he left us.
Friends I met on the run this morning by the river (Sorry I'm out of breath in the video)
I was Senior Class President in 1986, and this weekend was my 40th Class Reunion. Which is impossible, as that would imply I am old.
This album is one of the seminal influences on my formative years, and thus... With the remastered/remixed re-release, I've been in a state of bliss for the last week as I revisit it, with all the emotional and creative power it had for me in 1984. Different Germany feels like prophecy for the US.
A great time was had at SCAD Atlanta last week, talking to comic and sequential art students. As always, it's wonderful to see & chat with fellow editors @josephpillidge.bsky.social & @jamesbemmett.bsky.social as well as master of comic shenannigans @pqcomics.bsky.social!
Went to a listening party last night... First time hearing it on a "real" stereo system. Best album since Scarlet. Can't wait until folks get to dive in...
I have a few, but this is my prized possession. @scottmccloud.bsky.social sold it to me (I think) the first year I attended SDCC as a pro. (1989). It was the first issue of ZOT! I purchased, and it was a life-changer for me in so many ways. It is, for me, a perfect comic page.
So... I can now talk about this. For the last year, I've had the pleasure of helping Mike McCready bring his rock opera FAREWELL TO SEASONS to comic form with @marksable.bsky.social & @sebastianpiriz.bsky.social (With a jaw-dropping cover by R. Kikuo Johnson) www.rollingstone.com
VOTING IS OPEN for the TRIPWIRE AWARDS and @mrtonylee.bsky.social along with BRUCE DICKINSON are nominated! GO VOTE! tripwiremagazine.co.uk/headlines/th...
Great turnout in Burbank today for #NoKings very proud of my community for showing up and standing up for America and ALL the people who live here.
For the better part of a year, my dear friend @toriamos.bsky.social has been talking about this new project. It's absolutely her most ambitious project to date, so I was very proud and honored to be asked to contribute the key art for the album and tour announcement!
Have I told you this book is great? I'm not even to chapter 10 and have gasped/sobbed aloud multiple times. Goddamn... It's really great. The last line of chapter 5? Perfection.
and he posts his current read by @danielkraus.com because he knows this is something people do on the Internet. and beside that, this book is a hell of a ride.
Got my 25-26 COVID booster at CVS today in Burbank. Highly recommend. If you are making the appointment online, here's a list of criteria to help you... (In person they will not ask)
