Same A 75x50 foot plot we planted every year just for pollinators and birds in the fall. We planted another with just Mexican sunflowers for Monarch butterflies. I think about 5,000 sunflowers per plot.
BS wouldn't let me load more than one image? 10x20' bed from last year - most the bulbs are no longer evident except a bunch of alliums if you look carefully. This is a Bee Pollinator mix from Johnnyseeds for the US Northeast - I think 4 oz put in in the really early spring
I'm putting in 6' x 10' growth areas (greatest width I can reach without stepping into it) separated by 12 - 18" mulched walkways. First I put ~ 500 bulbs per area (early to mid spring bloomers) and then strew the region appropriate pollinator mixes over the top. Last year's trial beds:
