I used to think building a custom hugo template was overkill, but honestly, now that I've done it, I am super happy with the difference. Have any of you ever built a custom theme or redesigned a site you're proud of?

New hugo theme using dark mode, custom fonts, background grid image, outlines, and nice margins around text.

Old theme with weird color choices, text that is too small, and a dark blue that reminds me of being choked out in an alley.
