We are proud to announce that six more hospitals have been awarded accreditation as part of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine's GreenED programme. GreenED is an RCEM initiative to measure and reduce the environmental impact of Emergency Departments.

Health Minister Karin Smyth said corridor care must not become normalised - and that the government will continue to work with experts including RCEM to tackle the issue.

Labour MP Rebecca Long-Bailey said "nothing could prepare" her for the state of her local Emergency Department when she visited- painting a picture of the corridor care situation in her area.

MP Dr Rosena Allin-Khan, an Emergency Medicine doctor and chair of the APPG on Emergency Care, outlined the need for better data on corridor care - and the toll it takes on patients and staff.
