Looking back, you wrote that voters and politicians diverged on a key issue as they voted, but it is unclear how many voters cared about the issue in 2015. The low trust effect may be have been a cause. The referendum was seen as a referendum on the politicians, leading people to swing leave.

These people claim to be traditionalists, yet lack any respect for actual tradition.
