It’s a cool, damp morning. I’m going to head to Duck Lake, Saskatchewan to drop off two quilts for longarming. The one I just finished is fun — vintage school days. I found a batik that had all the colours in the prints and used it for the cornerstones and outer border. 😊

It’s the heat and humidity! Have had a walk, will enjoy coffee, potter around in the garden for a bit and then it’s into the AC for me. Honestly, I’m becoming crepuscular! 🤣
Just starting to lay out pieces for the next quilt. Will have to play around with the layout but I think these fabrics are a lot of fun. The fabric line is called Old School 😊 I’m doing a couple of simple quilts to warm up before tackling two more complicated ones I have in mind.
Quilt top is finished! Backing will be the blue bandanna print fabric on the lower left. 🤠

I love living in Warman, Saskatchewan! I am having a dozen fresh rollkuchen delivered to my door this afternoon. Traditionally eaten with watermelon, I like them with maple syrup. These are definitely medicinal and will help my cold 😊 @michaeljklein.bsky.social
This is traditionally the weekend when people here in Warman, Saskatchewan Canada plant their gardens. This year, not so much! 🤣
ChiChi has decided to perform what I choose to interpret as some kind of cockatoo healing thing by sitting on my head and preening. She’s been up there a good 15 minutes and shows no sign of getting down. 🤣 Fortunately she almost never poops when she’s up there!
It’s garage sale season and this has been an excellent weekend filled with fun and treasures! I found this little Featherweight sewing machine on a table with other stuff. No case or accessories but it runs and the price was amazing: $40 CAD. @michaeljklein.bsky.social
