Augustine is trying his best not to be yet another example of a doctor who is a bad patient, he really is *trying*, but his sense of obligation to his patients and those who rely on him makes that very hard. It's his purpose and value to heal, and he feels enormous weight to be failing at it. (3/3)
is from his oath bond with Gullistan - a blighted creature literally riddled with unstoppable rot - something sitting in him unseen. Whilst the rot couldn't touch him if Gullistan lived, it was always there and when Gullistan died the cost of breaking the bond was sickness that near killed him (2/3)
And then there's this guy. Augustine is my first *real* OC. Creating and sharing him was a nervewracking experience, but he means so much to me I can't begin to explain it, he's been my creative lifeline, so, thank you to everyone who has supported and been interested in his story. Nope! He came prepackaged with a miserable backstory I actively hid so he would be judged based on his behaviour before I peeled it back and showed people what he'd experienced. I've healed him for character development, instead, and he's currently suffering the terrors of happiness. (1/4)
