Had to buy myself a new audio interface because my 10 year old Scarlett 2i2 finally shat the bed. DEEPLY amused to open the new one (SSL 2 Mk 2) and find that it goes to 11.
I have been extremely busy with audiobooks for the last few months, and not really working on my game at all (boooo) but here's a little progress update anyway. There's a lot to be done, but it will be finished, one day! #IndieDev #IndieGames #SoloDev
Vincent D'Onofrio says it really well in this clip, and I think it's true for game developers and any storytelling medium, that you should follow this advice to become better at what you do.
Starwing is actually what StarFox was called in the EU, so you might need a different name 😂
Amanita knocking it out of the park with the visuals here. And this little knot untying interaction was perhaps one of the most oddly satisfying mechanics I've ever engaged with. Unscrewing the screws felt real good too. Cannot wait for the full thing!
Reading this made me wonder the same, especially when you guys and your neighbours love liquorice so much. Turns out, someone did!
I see your salted caramel & raise you. These are the worst thing I've ever eaten.
Also regarding the toast thing... we don't? The toasters all come with various different settings so you can choose how toasted you want it, & if you're at a restaurant, you can just ask. For reference, this is the picture the BBC uses as default for toast & I wouldn't call it dark.
Christmas baking round two - Molten Chocolate Ganache Truffles & Pecan Pie Brownies
First of the Christmas confectionary done! On the left here we have Cassia & Hazelnut Tablet (Scottish confection) & on the right, Rose & Cardamom Fudge. Two down, three to go!
Swen definitely having a normal reaction to the backlash. Use GenAI at all & suffer the consequences my dude.
So I've finished most of the first level 3D stuff, got all the textures & mapping done & it looks pretty good! (I need to handle dead ends & t-junctions, but I'll get to it) Small progress this week due to other commitments, but planning to hit it hard next week! #IndieDev #SoloDev #IndieGame
Thank you specifically for commenting, you sparked an idea for my UI options that I think will be a nice addition.
Never underestimate lighting. Still got a ways to go, but it's already much prettier. #IndieDev #SoloDev #IndieGame
Going through reviews of a game somewhat similar to mine, I found people didn't like the lack of interactivity during combat with a slots mechanic - honestly very fair! So, I've made a system where you have two separate 'loadouts' & pick which to roll each turn! #IndieDev #IndieGame #SoloDev
Rarely have I despised a human being so thoroughly having never met them, but someone going "my hallucination machine knows what it did, debate me" is about the most punchable sentence I've ever read.
I got tired of looking at my original placeholder art so I've half-made some new placeholder art & made a start on the low poly modelling for the explorable dungeon. Honestly it's already made a huge difference & I'm starting to feel pretty good about this one! #SoloDev #IndieDev #IndieGame
Getting very close to having all core stuff done, then the focus will need to be on visuals, balance, content & 'sauce'. Added a bit of sauce by way of screen shake (optional) and some SFX made with my soda maker. Bones almost complete, can add meat soon. #IndieDev #SoloDev #screenshotsaturday
First look at the absolute most basic iteration of my game SlotCrawler - a dungeon crawling roguelite where you run around killing things with a magical slot machine full of knives & spells. When it's a bit more done I'll throw up a steam page & get that ball rolling! #IndieDev #IndieGame #SoloDev
Oh hey I know how much you love a terrible chart, so did you see these from their livestream?
