The first time I went to Chicago in September of 2023, I visited the Haymarket Memorial. The statue is placed right where they gave their speeches. It looks uncomfortably out of place on the sidewalk surrounded by billboards for grifter startups and expensive juice.

ELECTROLYSIS can cost up to $160/hr.

Thankfully, there is only a small por-tion of my arm that needs to be 80% clear pre-op. Either way, the rest will still have to be removed post-op.

The owners of the restaurant tried to get us all to sign an illegal and unenforceable attendance policy last week, so a lot of us did not sign it. Today after they told me not to worry about working out my two weeks, they messaged us on our company chat to remind us to sign. I chimed in helpfully!

Hey (censored) I've been wondering if that attendance policy is technically enforceable if folks are taking sick and safe leave from work. It says in all the FAQs about it that employees must be granted leave without requiring a doctor's note for illnesses of their own or their family members. It looks like you can only ask for a doctor's note after an employee has missed three consecutive days. I tried to find information posted about it but I can't find any of the posters about worker's rights in the common areas of the restaurant.
