Been a minute since I built a Gameboy for someone. Still have 8 or so Gameboys left to find a home (for hard cash of course!)

My primary use for LLMs (via Claude) is personal tooling. I had this made for myself yesterday - I'm confident that I wouldn't have been able to build this to the finesse that I needed *and* that I would have finished. Parses kicad_pcb files and gerber zips. tools.remysharp.com/pcb-tracer/?...

I still can't get past this fucking level… It's been open in my tabs since it was released - and frankly, a bunch of girls in mini skirts on a laptop belonging to a mad in his late 40s really isn't a great look.

Rhythm game with Japanese avatars that dance, and he used the cursor keys to match the rhythm. I failed with 80% accuracy and I need 85%.

It ain't pretty, but currently doing surgery on Pokémon Emerald Green. This poor soul lost two of its ROM legs so I had to grind into the silicon to expose the internal bond pads then jump with enamelled 38 AWG (fucking hairline) wire. Fingers crossed, eh?!

After faffing for quite a long time on CSS and styles (I'm the kind of dev that knows what looks decent, but struggles to implement it), I've got with this. Ugly, but sod it, I can't be arsed to spend more time.

A mostly unstyled page, only applying sans serif fonts and monospace for code.

I do hate this guilt I feel when putting together code for publishing. I'm trying to make a demo to show how to use a web component (for open source), top is my efforts after 20 minutes. Below is the output from 2 lines of AI.

Every time I see this card in Music app, I think it's @markboulton.co.uk 🤦 (the music's good, so Mark, it's a compliment!)

Fucking Amazon. I've really managed to reduce what I buy and yet I still fall for their fucking"you searched for X? Here's X-adjacent". Distilled water != Deionised water (which is what I bought)

I'm absolutely certain that it's me, but this doesn't load for me: hyperblam.how/examples/02-... Firefox it sits there "loading…" and Chrome doesn't play it back (and audio element is "crunchy" - see screenshot). Network looks fine, no js errors client side… not sure how to help

The post is from 2007 and for the video to be embedded, there is an object tag with a class ID with something that looks like a UUID4, a code base pointing to a QT plugin.cab, a lot of parameters and a lot of ugly code.

No, these are just feeds I subscribe to. It's then applying embeddings to the contents and I'm trying to guide my tastes to then finding more posts (again, that I subscribe to) to surface them using scoring which comes from different places:

The scoring for my news thing: priority, keywords, engagement (bsky and web mentions), recency and personalisation)

I do also love that it's a PWA _and_ the server hosting the content goes offline between 11pm and 9am, so all the "inbox" posts are cached so I can read whenever I like. Particularly the detail of the offline icon (classic service worker: different resource when offline).

Been enjoying discovering new posts via some self hosted personal project. I've been thinking A LOT about personal algorithms, and whether it's even possible for these to exist along side our existing services. Not sure I've got an answer yet. Pretty sure I'm not smart enough…!

Just a simple example. Here's my profile page. That says 3781 bookmarks have been archives, "representing 100% of your collection" (of which there's 8,001 links…so, not, 100%?). Then "due to errors:" - the colon suggestion there's more to be said, but nope, just… a void.
