This most commonly occurs in the underarm area, but can happen anywhere that sweat has been in contact with fabric! Have you ever had sweat "bleach" any of your clothing? Special thanks to Zach for providing this information as well! #sweat #laundry #cleaning #ApplianceRepair #WashingMachine
Is Bosch's "PureDry" system worth getting? In my opinion as someone who was an appliance repair tech, that all depends on your priorities!
Are dishwashers that automatically pop the door open at the end of the cycle to dry dishes faster ACTUALLY worth it? This is my opinion based on someone who was an appliance repair tech! #dishwasher #cleaning #kitchen #dishes #ApplianceRepair
These are just my thoughts and opinions based on my previous experience as an appliance repair tech. If anyone has an LG dishwasher with this feature, I'd love to hear your personal experiences with it! #dishwasher #dishes #cleaning #LG #TrueSteam
This is also true for other detergent remaining in the detergent dispenser, but it's a common complaint that's often wrongfully associated with the pods themselves.
And a bonus fun fact about Rock City Coffee (according to the packaging of their coffee) -- they're an employee-owned co-op! I've still got a couple other decaf flavors of theirs to try, so expect more reviews of their other decaf varieties soon! #decaf #decaffeinated #CaffeineFree #coffee
What do anxiety, bicycles, and appliance gimmicks all have in common? They're what I've been up to recently! Is that a weird way to start a video? Probably. But it's fun! #bicycle #bikes #TrailBiking #anxiety #appliances
While these gimmicks were certainly more luxury than the rest, the way they're designed is simple enough that if it's something you want, I say go ahead and get it!
Spherical ice has been a refrigerator gimmick for the last decade or so, and this is how I feel about it! While having a dedicated countertop ice maker for sphere ice may take up extra counter space, countertop spherical ice makers are more reliable than the refrigerator type.
When I worked as an appliance repair tech, we referred to the first cold snap of winter as the beginning of "garage fridge season," because that was the time of year when the people who had refrigerators designed for indoor use only would call to say their fridge wasn't cooling correctly.
The concept of the oven turning on both the bake and broil elements simultaneously to bring everything up to temperature faster debuted in the 1950s and is a feature that around 90% of ovens today currently have.
All-in-one washer/dryers (the type where washing and drying happens all in the same drum) are fantastic if you have a need for them, but a separate washer and dryer will always be the more effective option. Regardless, get whichever option suits YOUR needs!
If you've ever had eggs freeze in the refrigerator, this might be why! The best place to store eggs in most fridges is on the door because it's the farthest away from any vents, but if you HAVE to store them on a shelf,
When it comes to dryer venting, sometimes just fitting the clamp over the end of the new venting is the hardest part! This is a clip from a long-form video I made on how to replace your dryer venting, which will be coming very soon! #dryer #DryerFire #DryerVent #DryerVentCleaning #ApplianceRepair
I haven't been in a good enough headspace to make much new content this week, mostly from being sick and not being able to do much for the last week or so.
Regarding getting mold at the end of the waterline and on the dispenser, you can do your best to clean the area with food-grade distilled white vinegar (which gets rid of mold but is still food safe),
If your dryer is squeaking, it's better to have it fixed sooner rather than later! The longer you let it go without repairing what's causing the squeak, the more likely you'll have to replace MORE parts--plus, a squeaky dryer is always a potential fire hazard.
If you're experiencing an issue with your washing machine (or any appliance, really) immediately after purchasing it, always check to make sure it's installed correctly first, even if you didn't DIY.
Is magnetic dryer venting effective? Sure. But is it really worth the money you spend on it if it poses a safety risk? That's entirely up to you, but personally, I wouldn't trust it in my own home.
THE REASON WHY I DON'T RECOMMEND ATTEMPTING THIS* (*unless you have the proper experience to do so!) is because you can create a LOT of water damage in a VERY short period of time if you don't know what you're doing!
A quick decaf coffee review of @peacecoffee.bsky.social 's Decaf Morning Glory! Thank you to everyone who has sent me different decaf coffees to try! #decaf #decaffeinated #DecafCoffee #coffee #review
