Acting CFPB Director Vought doesn’t know what the Office of Minority and Women Inclusion (OMWI) is— how embarrassing. Every community deserves a seat at the table. The CFPB is required to have an OMWI, and I’m not letting this administration neglect people who need equitable policies.

Juneteenth reminds us that the fight for freedom is ongoing — every single day.
Ahead of Juneteenth, I convened a roundtable with local civic, faith, student and community leaders from throughout OH-03 to discuss important issues affecting our community. Together, we discussed ideas and strategies to combat voter suppression and empower the Black electorate.
Happy Juneteenth, America! Today, we honor our country’s freedom day, when enslaved Black Americans were emancipated from slavery. May we continue to honor this legacy, in our continued fight for voting rights, equity, and beyond.✊🏾
