On my way to San Francisco for #Opensauce for the robot fights. It's also my first time in California lol.
Mechanical Turk? Nah Mechanical Fowl time. And produces about as much real value in the world.
Someone call for Beef? I would turn the plane around too if this was being broadcast out. /Jk
Wonderful summer day with my wife feeding birds and me getting to stand in the ocean
My foamer self saw some of the classic streetcars operating in Porto and me and my friend having a delightful smile over it. Still in active service too, like you can just use it with a monthly pass like the Funicular.
Before I left to go back to the US, had a drink with my friends of a 25 year old Port. Tasted like fruit and oak and looked really really nice. A bottle like that was 25 euro and is considered pricey. I can believe the claim Portugal has some of the best wine and spirits on Earth.
Also, SuperBock is dang near a religion in Northern Portugal lol. It's like a better Abita or Fat Tire that wasn't an IPA. Their ciders and lemon beer are fantastic too. But with being everywhere like Miller or Budweiser
Riding to the airport on the Alfa Pendular back to Lisbon right now and even second class is nicer than most Amtrak rides that cost 3 times as much and goes slower because it doesn't tilt.
Can't spell Funicular without Fun! Was neat to ride on, and much better than climbing my ass up the hill.
Foamers I can't seem to identify this make of train some sort of Bombardier older build in Porto. Wes Anderson color schema inside I love it
I didn't realize until I got over to Europe for my visit over the last few days that my mental health would improve so much so quickly. Or my physical health. I hope eventually I could make a home for myself here. Guess I need to see. Will be back in Seattle come next week. For now, pictures!
All I can think when I hear about making Android Monks. Kongo-Sensei from Land of the Lustrous.
This also punishes anyone who went to a university in a state that does ACT instead of SAT or test optional. And makes it for a historical thing that has no relevance 4 or 5 years vs use the GRE or other stuff. Not to mention foreign and military academy students.
Not helping the whole "we live in a cyberpunk dystopia" with the trophy looking like something from Deus Ex
Time to be a big boat foamer, get on a big boat, and then go to a boat museum Nautical nonsense lmao. Notes in the alt tags as well.
In that argument, if anything the Cardassians are the settlers. Those worlds were settled by the federation and then the Cardassians put colonies on them after the war. Also, I will always be sus about the Cardassia with how they treated Bajor.
Love my David Cronenburg VR device sold in a blister pack. Also that lorem ipsum on the pack is something else. Movie was eXistenZ
Andromeda Strain? Now mine is esoteric, Empire of Corpses from Studio Wit. It's got cyber necromancy, Babbage machines, femboys programmed in ADA, gay undertones, and a whole mess of literary references . Also gorgeous animation
I did it! I made a 3d printed electromagnet with Protopasta iron filament! So far it pulls as strong as a fridge magnet a 3 amps 3 volts and I'm pretty sure the device would cook itself at this amperage, but I made it work all the same! Now need to refine the model.
Ran a test with the Protopasta iron filament, and what I expected, 100% Infill .1mm layer height print is much better at being attracted to magnets that standard infill. It pulls hard enough that I could believe I could make an ok stator out of this stuff
