Had myself a double feature last night with these 2 recent releases. (Yes, I'm dedicated to classic film, but I do see some newer movies, too.) Both were EXCELLENT. Deeply engaging & in many respects riveting.
I've long believed that that is one of the most beautiful movie posters ever made for a Disney film in that era; perhaps for any film ever. Here are the US One-Sheet and the UK Quad:

In John Carpenter's ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK (1981), Bob Hauk (Lee Van Cleef), the U.S. Police Force Commissioner, briefs Snake Plissken (Kurt Russell) on a high-stakes rescue mission after Air Force One is hijacked and crashes into the Manhattan maximum-security prison.
