When my daughter was younger and I sent lunch to school with her, I used Lunchbots, which are great and still quite useful for snacks on the go, etc.
One of the things I find appalling is the seemingly mindless use of plastic packaging and fibers in clothing. Take out containers drive me crazy and while we re-use them, why don’t we use standardized tins and plates/bowls made out of dried leaves like they do in India?
The extremely ironic result of Trump’s mind-boggling incompetence is that it may hasten the transition to clean energy. I am thinking about how to do this as a family; moving from a hybrid car to an electric, installing mini-splits and/or heat pumps, reducing plastic use/packaging, etc.

The Canadian wildfires are making the sky here in Massachusetts really funky and malevolent-looking. Makes the scale mind-boggling, because we are nowhere close.

Headed to Fenway tonight for a New England love fest, but it will be hard to top the last time. Noah Kahan and his music represents so many, often seemingly contradictory things about New England (and life) and makes them beautiful.

We went to the Norway-Iraq match last night on a perfect New England evening. While the Norwegians won the match, the Iraqis won the fan enthusiasm game. Such a wonderful experience.
I’ve been spending a lot of time recently “touching grass” with friends and family. Every time I poke my head back in, the news timeline is completely insane, but always in a different way. If we get through this, maybe Americans will develop some realistic expectations about ourselves…

What brings me joy? Having so many peonies that I can give them away with abandon to friends - in this case, to a friend who is doing a lot to support another friend on top of a ton of other things she does to support our town. 🌸🌸🌸
